Springtime on the Mountain Festival

To celebrate the arrival of spring, Tamborine Mountain is hosting its annual Springtime on the Mountain festival. Taking place from Friday 27 September to Sunday 29 September, the Springtime on the Mountain festival is a fun way to spend some time in Brisbane and view some beautiful and inspiring gardens. Hop in your rental car and drive over to Tamborine Mountain and enjoy the offerings of spring.

The Festival is presented by the Tamborine Mountain Garden Club Inc and has been running annually since 1983. Highly popular, this event allows you to see gardens you’d otherwise be unable to and celebrates the beauty of spring. The festival raises necessary funding in order to help develop and maintain the beautiful Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens.

The Gardens

During the Springtime on the Mountain festival, six private gardens are opened up for public viewing. These gardens range from quaint cottage gardens to professionally planned acreage gardens which are bound to impress. You’ll get to see a wide range of plants and trees which grow in the unique subtropical climate of Tamborine Mountain.

The Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens are also open for viewing during the festival. The beautiful Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens cover 11 hectares of land and sit 500 metres above sea level. This unique climate means that the Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens are filled with exotic species and natural rainforest. Plants you’ll see include flowering cherries, magnolias, camellias, rhododendron and maples.

Entertainment

In addition to viewing the stunning plants and trees you’ll also be treated to performances by the Harmony in Voice Singing Group.

Tickets can be purchased upon arrival. Tickets cost $15.00. Dependent children get in free.
