There are malls and shopping centres in the Gold Coast to rival other cities. And The Gold Coast is also home to a number of excellent markets, all easily within reach with your Gold Coast airport car rental from Hertz.
In the heart of the Gold Coast, the Broadbeach Art and Craft Markets on Old Burleigh Rd make for a great family day out. Every week on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights, the Surfer’s Paradise beachfront markets pop up along the foreshore of The Esplanade. In winter they run from 4pm to 9pm and in summer 5 pm to 10 pm, weather permitting. More than 100 market stalls peddle arts and homewares, fashion and jewellery and more, set to live music and entertainment.
On the second Sunday of each month the Coolangatta Art and Craft markets run from 8 am all year. Located on Marine Parade, a half hour drive south of the Gold Coast with your Gold Coast car hire, there are more than 150 stalls.
Carrara Markets are the biggest permanent markets in Australia with more than 400 stalls over 10 acres. It is a 10 minute drive from the Gold Coast with free parking for your car rental and tourist buses operate from Surfer’s Paradise, Broadbeach and Mermaid Beach.
