If you’re in the city between Friday 25 October and Sunday 3 November, prepare yourself for all things ghoulish. Carnival Macabre returns to Perth for its second year. A huge success last year, Carnival Macabre is a fun festival with plenty of different activities and events in celebration of Halloween and the Mexican Day of the Dead. The festival will include film screenings, markets, parties and performances.
There’s plenty happening during Carnival Macabre. There’s eery workshops, ghost story-telling, spooky art, market stalls, zombies and more. Best of all, most of the events are free.
Thrill the World - a mass public dance performance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and attempt to break the record. Movies - including free showings of scary classics like Little Shop of Horrors, Gremlins and Monsters Inc. There’s also special screenings of Rocky Horror Picture Show, where you can take part in the Time Warp, and The Dark Knight Dress-Up Party, which includes a Joker make-up booth where you can get your face painted for free.
Mexican Day of the Dead Cultural Day - a fun day featuring food markets, music and folk dances and fun activities such as shrine building and sugar skull decorating.
There are also plenty of over 18 events including a Game of Thrones Weekend and The Vampire Ball.

All the events will take place in the vicinity of Northbridge Plaza.
Northbridge Piazza is easy to get to in a cheap hire car that you can pick up from Hertz at their Perth Airport Car Hire location. You can park your hire car in the nearby parking provided for the Carnival.
