For the uninitiated, State of Origin is the annual best-of-three series of rugby league matches between New South Wales (Blues) and Queensland (Maroons). It’s perhaps Australia’s biggest sporting rivalry, drawing a huge TV audience and selling out stadiums for games. Players are chosen to represent the state in which they first played a senior rugby league match.

New South Wales and Queensland will play one State of Origin 2015 game each at home with Game 2 going to Melbourne’s MCG. Sydney’s ANZ Stadium will host the first match onWednesday May 27, 2015. Kickoff is at 8pm. Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium will host the final on Wednesday July 8, 2015.
