For foodies Taste of Sydney 2015 at the Brazilian Fields in Centennial Park from March 12th-15th is an event not to be missed. At Taste of Sydney 2015 you can graze alongside the city’s top chefs and sample the best of the latest and hottest restaurants. Set to live entertainment to a bucolic park backdrop, it’s set to be a real extravaganza and a highlight of the gourmet dining calendar.

Taste of Sydney 2015 operates somewhat like a restaurant, running lunch and dinner services – 6 sessions running 4 days, lasting between 4 – 5 hours each. During each session take your pack of over 60 restaurant dishes, browse the stalls and enjoy the festival’s attractions. Tickets are valid for one session only.

There are lots of free sessions and opportunities to learn. Lurpak Cookery School will be holding a series of 30 minute cooking classes, available on a first come, first serve basis – head to the school at the start of your Taste of Sydney session to save a spot. Meanwhile Sydney’s top chefs will share the secrets of their favourite dishes over in the Taste Kitchen. And The Chef’s Skillery is all about learning hands on skills from local chefs – everything from how to fillet a fish to successfully pair flavours. In addition chefs and food experts will be hosting discussions on all sorts of culinary topics.

Crowns are the official currency at Taste of Sydney 2015, used to buy food and beverages at restaurants and bars at the event. Silver and Gold crown tickets, as well as platinum passes, come with crowns included. Or you can buy crowns online with your ticket purchases, or on site on the day from roaming sellers and Crown banks. The average dish will be priced between 6-12 crowns while some restaurant dishes may cost between 15-25 crowns.  If you’re buying products to take home, exhibitors will be taking cash or cards for these purchases only.

Brazilian Fields is in the centre of Centennial Park, near Loch Avenue and Dickens Drive. Limited free parking will available if you’re taking your Sydney car hire to Taste of Sydney 2015. The park is southwest of the city centre, but if you prefer to stay as close as possible, nearby hotels to the park include Hughenden Boutique Hotel and Centennial Parkview Private Hotel.
