Sun, surf and shopping – what more could you want in a holiday destination? There’s plenty to do on the Gold Coast if you’re after more than just a beach holiday with your Gold Coast car hire. When it comes to retail therapy, here are the best places to give your wallet a workout.

Pacific Fair Shopping Centre

Just a few minutes’ drive from Surfers Paradise, Pacific Fair Shopping Centre should be one of your first shopping stops. Visit the customer service centre when you get there and pick up a VIP visitor pack, stuffed with discounts and offers specifically for visitors. At Pacific Fair Shopping Centre there are more than 200 retail outlets, including the area’s biggest Myer department store, and plenty of fashion retailers. For those weary of walking around the shopping centre, take a break at the cinema.

Robina Town Centre

A 20 minute drive from Surfers Paradise, Robina Town Centre is the biggest shopping destination in the Gold Coast. Make sure you collect your reward card at the concierge desk to access special discounts and offers. At Robina Town Centre you’ll find almost any department store you can name, cinemas, supermarkets, an Apple store and more than 300 specialty stores. Take a load off after and dine lakeside at one of the eateries.

Harbour Town Outlet Shopping Centre

20 minutes north of Surfers Paradise, the open air Harbour Town Outlet Shopping Centre is the biggest outlet centre in the country. There are more than 200 outlets and clearance stores. If you’re looking to save big, this is the place to go. Luxury labels like Hugo Boss and Coach, as well as more every day brands like Nike, are all found here. At the Tourism Lounge you can get a club card for discounts and access other free services and facilities.

Paradise Centre

The biggest shopping centre in Surfers Paradise is Paradise Centre, opposite the beach itself and with more than 100 shops. Beach and casual wear to more trendy threads can be found at these boutiques. There’s an outdoor dining area, entertainment precinct and a family friendly zone with ten pin bowling and shooting. The centre is open late every day.
