Q: Am I required to present my certificate?
A: The #1 Awards Certificate must be surrendered at the time of rental.
Q: Are #1 Awards Certificates exchangeable, refundable or redeemable for cash of credit under any circumstances.
Q: Can I return my vehicle using my #1 Awards certificate to another Hertz location?
A: The vehicle must be returned to the original renting location with the exception of airport and main downtown locations in the same renting city, rentals between Brisbane and the Gold Coast and rentals between cities with Tasmania.
Q: Can the certificates be replaced if they are lost of stolen?
A: #1 Awards Certificates are not replaceable and are fully transferable to a member’s immediate family, spouse or domestic partner. Altered or photocopied #1 Awards Certificates will not be honoured.
Q: Do my #1 Awards Point expire?
A: Points earned will not expire, provided the member has rental activity over a three year period and provided the Program is still in existence.
Q: How can I get my points balance between statements?
A: You can check your total points by following these three quick steps: Simply log into our Hertz #1 Club or Hertz #1 Club Gold sections. After logging in, select My Account section on the site. Once in the My Account section, choose the #1 Awards section and you will see your points. Alternatively you can contact the Gold Department on 1800 500 409 (option 3) who will be able to advise you of your points balance.
Q: How can I redeem my points?
A: Complete and fax the Redemption Form to 03 9698 2460 or alternatively send via post to PO Box 181, South Melbourne Vic 3205
Q: How can I start earning #1 Awards Points?
A: You must first be a member of Hertz #1 Club or Hertz #1 Club Gold to participate in the #1 Awards Program. You can either update your profile on-line or alternatively ring the National Reservations Department on 13 30 39 who will update your profile.
Q: How long does it take to process my redemption?
A: Please allow 5-7 working days from the time we receive your redemption form.
Q: How many points do I earn per rental?
A: Members will earn five (5) points for every Qualified Australian Dollar spent on qualifying rentals in Australia. Points will be awarded on time and kilometre charges excluding Goods and Service Tax (GST).
Q: How often will I receive my statement?
A: Statements are issued on a quarterly basis and will be sent to your preferred mailing address on your profile.
Q: I checked the status of my #1 Awards Points and there is a discrepancy with my total, what do I need to do?
A: Please send an email to email@example.com or alternatively post your request to PO BOX 181, South Melbourne Vic 3205 to investigate. Please ensure to advise your membership number and past rental an agreement numbers.
Q: I forgot to mention the ZE1 code when I made the reservation. Can I still get my Awards points.
A: As long as your rental took place 12 months ago and you have not earned any other Frequent Traveller points you will be able to earn #1 Awards points. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or alternatively post your request to PO BOX 181, South Melbourne Vic 3205 to investigate. Please ensure to advise your membership number and past rental an agreement numbers.
Q: I need to make a reservation using my #1 Awards Certificate?
A: Contact the National Reservations Department on 13 30 39 and mention the Hertz Tour Code printed on the #1 Awards Certificate. #1 Awards Certificates will be subject to availability at the time and place of rental. Blackout periods may also apply.
Q: If I redeem my Points for the Rental Award Certificates, how long are the offers?
A: 12 months including the month of issuance
Q: What are qualifying rentals?
A: Qualifying rentals include all car, truck and four wheel drive rentals, at participating locations in Australia.
Q: What does the certificate entitle me to?
A: Certificates apply to time and kilometre charges and the applicable GST (Goods and Service Tax only).
Q: What will points not be earned on?
A: Rentals on rate plans for accounts that do not allow employees to participate in award programs, insurance replacement, rentals by Hertz employees, Hertz licencees employees, and rentals using travel industry rates/discounts, tour and wholesale rentals, and convention rate rentals, or when a member chooses to receive frequent points for a frequent flyer program.
