Darwin Harbour is twice the size of Sydney Harbour, and is home to many pearl farms, some of which have been in operation since the colonial era. The fully restored and beautifully refurbished 65 foot pearling lugger the Streeter is a magnificent vessel to take a cruise on. The multi-coloured sunsets in Darwin must be seen to be believed, and the harbour is the best place to see them in all their glory. Enjoy a glass of champagne as you take in the spectacular view.

Crocosaurus Cove

You can’t go to Darwin without seeing a Croc – and Crocosaurus Cove has some of the biggest saltwater crocodiles in Australia, along with the world’s largest display of Australian reptiles. You can “Swim with the Crocs” enclosed in a Perspex tube called the “Cage of Death”, and get a real understanding as to why these magnificent creatures have been apex predators since the dinosaur era – this is not for the faint hearted. You can hold a baby croc and enjoy a lot of interactive experiences as you learn more about the special creatures that call this part of the world home.
