Brisbane is a town with plenty to do, for locals and tourists alike. Here are some ideas to make your stay more fun:

Kookaburra Showboat

The iconic Kookaburra Queens have been cruising up and down the river in Brisbane since the 1980’s. They do both lunch and dinner cruises, and have a regular calendar of themed events. You can expect fine dining and fun entertainment as you take in the sights along the Brisbane River. The dinner cruises go for around three hours, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy the view, have dinner with a few glasses of wine and then hit the dancefloor as you enjoy the tunes of the live band.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

The oldest and largest koala sanctuary in the world, there’s no better place to learn more about these fascinating creatures than at Lone Pine Sanctuary. There’s other animals to see and interact with here as well, with lorikeets, kangaroos and wallabies available to hand feed as part of your visit.

Brisbane Jazz Club

Often host to international jazz artists, the Brisbane Jazz Club is a great place to have a drink or bite and enjoy some music. They also hold regular workshops and classes for those interested in learning more.

Story Bridge Adventure Climb

One of the most iconic features of Brisbane’s skyline, the Story Bridge has thousands of cars and bikes crossing it every day, but you have the opportunity to see it from a whole new perspective as well. If you’re feeling brave, why not try your hand at the Story Bridge Adventure Climb – the views are spectacular and the combination of incline and height is sure to get your heart racing.
