Learn about Lidcombe, with Hertz
This quiet suburb is on the border to some spooky sights, thanks to its close proximity to the largest cemetery in the Southern Hemisphere, Rookwood Cemetery.
Rookwood is the largest operating cemetery from the Victorian era, and as such is quite a large tourist attraction in the area. This also means that Lidcombe itself is highly influenced by the Victorian era itself, with many heritage-listed buildings sprinkled throughout the suburb. There are also many churches and places of worship throughout the suburb, due to its close proximity to the cemetery.
Lidcombe is also home to a large shopping precinct, the Lidcombe Shopping Centre, where you’ll find over 60 stores and large name brands throughout. Head to the centre of Lidcombe to experience and enjoy the shops, restaurants, and cafes of this suburb.
