One of the definite highlights in Nerang is the Nerang National Park and State Forest. It’s a hinterland sanctuary of peace, nature, and adventure; the perfect break away from the busy Surfer’s Paradise and other top tourist destinations that the Gold Coast is so famous for. Nerang town centre is just a four-minute drive to the boundaries of the national park itself, but you’ll need to drive further into the depths of the park to see all of its beauty.
Some of the highlights of this park include the Casuarina Grove track, which is a 2.7-kilometre return loop of a scenic bushwalk. There are also over 20 kilometres of bike tracks throughout the park, so any keen mountain bikers should definitely take advantage. Plus, there are also horse riding opportunities too; perhaps a group outing into the beautiful hinterland would be the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
