Our top tip would be to head into the city of Brisbane. Known for its fun and frivolities, Brisbane is also called ‘Brisvegas’ (and for good reason). There are plenty of things to do and see while in the capital of Queensland, so if a city break takes your fancy, then be sure to drive the two-hour-long journey into the city.
If you’ve got a designated driver in tow, why not vineyard hop on the Granite Belt? There are plenty of vineyards to admire and enjoy, like Summit Estate Wines, Mason Wines, and Pyramids Road Wines to just name a few. Obviously, please enjoy these vineyards safely, and always have a specified driver to take you from place to place. Perhaps after a morning of tasting the produce in the area, you could head to Girraween National Park to enjoy a picnic with all your new goodies. The area isn’t just known for wineries, but for other products like cheese and apple pie, for example, so you’ll have plenty to enjoy while admiring the views.
If natural beauty is definitely your preference, then The Falls Drive would be the perfect option. It’s an easy day trip from Toowoomba and gives a great reward for little effort. Cruise along in your rental car and see waterfalls like Browns Falls, Daggs Falls, and Queen Mary Falls. The latter is the most famous stop on the road trip, so make sure to plan your day around visiting this special location.
