If you’re after a day of fun and adrenaline, Adventure World is the place for you. Adventure World, Perth’s premier theme park, is located in Bibra Lake just 20 kilometres from the Perth CBD. It officially opened in November of 1982 and has been providing thrills for Perth locals and visitors ever since.
Rides and Attractions
Adventure World offers over 23 rides and attractions, including thrill rides and water slides, designed for people of all ages and senses of adventure. Whether you are older and seeking something that’s going to get your heart racing or you’re a smaller child looking for some smaller sized adventure, Adventure World has a bit of everything.
Some highlights include:
Bumper Boats – like bumper cars but on water!
Dragon Express – a steel roller coaster your kids will love
Grand Prix Raceway – go-karts
Bounty’s Revenge – a pirate ship that will see you swinging high into the air
The Rampage – a whirling, twirling, spinning ride
Paddle Boats – for something a little tamer, take a paddle boat ride across the gorgeous lake
There are also a bunch of water slides and a large swimming pool dubbed The Lagoon, so make sure you pack some swimmers and a towel.
Adventure World’s Aussie Wildlife Experience
It’s not all adrenalin and action. You can visit some Aussie favourites including koalas, emus, dingoes and kangaroos at Adventure World’s Aussie Wildlife Experience. Bring your camera to get a photo with a koala and if you’re keen, you can hand-feed the kangaroos and alpacas.
Eating Options
There are a number of food outlets to choose from at Adventure World so you definitely won’t be going hungry. These include the Burger Bar, the Surf Shack and the Kahuna Café. A café area sits right in front of a kids’ area so you can enjoy a coffee while you watch your children play.
Getting There
Adventure World is located just twenty minutes from Perth and is easily accessed by public transport. Or, you can take the Perth Airport Car Hire you picked up at Perth Airport and park in Adventure World’s carpark.
When to Go
Adventure World is open every day of the week except during school holidays when it is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
