Australia truly has it all – not least of all itsworld class accommodation. If you’re looking for some places to stay that are high on novelty value as well as creature comforts, we’ve got you covered.

Check out these unforgettable places to stay throughout the country:

Notel

Right in the heart of Melbourne is a hotel like none other – the Notel. Half a dozen chrome airstream trailers, perched on the roof of a multilevel carpark – it doesn’t sound like a recipe for luxury, but no expense has been spared in the fitout of your thirty-one foot home for the night. There’s an ‘iPad concierge’ to give you recommendations of what to do while you’re in town, and the fridge is full of craft beer, local wines and food.

Alkira Resort House

In the beautiful Daintree rainforest in far north Queensland, surrounded by 75 acres of wilderness you’ll find the Alkira Resort House. With an avant-garde design made from jutting concrete, this incredible home looks like it has come straight out of a science fiction movie, but the interior is lush, with six bedrooms and several bathrooms. Definitely one for the photo album.

The Pole House

Quite possibly the most photographed residence along the Great Ocean Road, the Pole House is suspended forty metres above beautiful Fairhaven Beach. With glass balconies and an ultra-modern interior, this is a wonder of engineering. There are plenty of luxuries to be had inside this prestigious home as you take in unsurpassed views from every angle.

Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse

In the beautiful beachside town of Seal Rocks, New South Wales, you’ll find a beautiful lighthouse with surrounding cottages that can be yours for a night or two. Built in 1875 but refurbished to be cosy and comfy for modern visitors, its position perched over spectacular cliffs give you the ultimate in privacy and stunning vistas.
