Gosford sits on the northern side of Brisbane Water National Park. As well as bushwalks through stunning scenery, you can see fascinating evidence of the past lifestyle of the traditional owners, the Guringai people.
A visit to the Gosford Regional Gallery is also worthwhile. It won’t take long to walk around the exhibits, but you’ll want to pause awhile in the exquisite Japanese gardens, donated in 1988 by Gosford’s sister city Edogawa. In spring, the cherry blossom is a sight to behold.
