Overnight in Budawang National Park From Braidwood, jump in your rental car and head for Budawang National Park, which is home to Mount Budawang. The mountain’s name is derived from the Aboriginal word ‘Buddawong’, and was once used as a vantage point by Indigenous people for making signal fires. The park is home to the Corang Peak hike, which offers visitors the opportunity to go deep into the bush on an overnight hike. The hike begins at the Wog Wog campground on Charleys Forest Road. When hiking across the Budawang Range, visitors are treated to incredible views of The Castle and Pigeon House Mountain. The hike can be done most of the year, but is best avoided on hot days in summer.
